The Indian government is also likely to bring in curbs on foreign flows over the next few months. The country has seen a sharp appreciation in the local currency, the Indian Rupee, over the last three months. The Rupee has appreciated over 8% in the last quarter which is making the exports non-competitive.
The Indian economy employs over 10% of the work force in small and medium scale sector focused on exports to US and Europe and Japan. And curbing of cheap foreign fund flow is the only way for the Indian government to cut down on the rupee appreciation. Many other countries including Brazil and South Korea have brought in additional curbs on foreign fund flow already.

The US FED is working on fixing the upper limit for various management levels of the banks in US, as part of the measure to curb the growing menace. The US banks had got billions of dollars of taxpayers money as bailout package, and still most of the banks have paid bonuses to their management equal or more than 10% of the bailout money.
Also the US FED is convinced that the incentive system has been the key force behind the reckless risks the banks have been taking in the last few years. Curbing of bonus might go a long way in pushing the banks to avoid taking excess risks at the cost of taxpayers.

Not looking to spend the excess, but use the excess to pay off the credit cards. I had a spreadsheet that told me what I needed to do. If I felt the need to spend, I sold something to do so or got extra side jobs.
