Believing in yourself is easy when the going is easy. As the saying goes, ” The Tough Get Going especially when the going gets tough”, it is important to believe in yourself when it is becoming tougher and tougher out there. When people around you think you are going to fail, when your friends and even well wishers think that you had lost the marbles this time around, even when you yourself are not sure of the path being travelled, it is important to belive in yourself and stay focussed and stay the course.
Success does not come easily. If it does, it does not tast as good.

This is not an empty promise. “How to Get Whatever You Want in Life Through NLP” is not at all an empty promise or a slogan. It is the truth. NLP or the Neuro Linguistic Programming has helped millions of people find their goal and fulfill their dreams. Whatever their dreams may be.
It hleps you to overcome your phobias. It can help you in your goal setting, step by step. It can help you overcome a particular mindset and win over yourself. It can boost your confidence levels.
People who have had weight loss targets have easily achieved them once they enrolled themselves into NLP class. People who have had problems controlling their finances have achieved remarkable control over their finances. People with issues on communication and who were nervous wrecks when it came to any kind of negotiation found new strenght to communicate better and negotiate hard. People have achieved stupendous sales results with it.
It is almost like a panacea for all your problems.
NLP creations, have been helping people around the world with the proper NLP training. Their NLP starter pack provides you with wealth of material - text, audio as well as video material which is completley free and which can rival many paid programs of this sort.
NLP uses and brings into play all our 5 senses : the sense of sight, touch, sound, smell and taste. Using all the 5 senses, it helps the person discover how he does something.
NLP consists of a number of models of the structure of human subjective experience and then there are the techniques based on those models. NLP is a way of exploring ‘how’ people think. Based on this, it goes on to identify success and then applies these successful actions or beliefs in ways which work.
The reason why NLP works is because it is very very pragmatic. If something works, it gets included even if there’s no current theoretical framework to back it up. The approach is to try something which seems to be working. If it works consistently, use it without worrying too much about the theoretical underpinnings. If it doesn’t work, then try something else.

How do you select a person for a job? You will look for aptitude. You will look for skill sets. More than anything else, you should look for attitude. The outlook ofthe person towards the job. Whether he looks at the clock at 5 pm in the evening. Whether he is able to get information from all the people. Whether he is ready to take the initiative and move forward. Whether he is able to network and get things done. Whether he is ready to learn on the job. Whether he is able to think outside the box.
None of these are taught in any business school.

What does getting educated mean? It does not mean just getting a degree. It means getting a perspective of life. To get a better perspective, there are a number of university study abroad programs available these days.
For example, www.carpediemeducation.org provides one of these study abroad programs as part of their semester curriculum plans. They take you to study abroad and understand the culture of a different nation, a different place which is very different from your own.
The very nature of studying abroad forces you to look outside. You look at the new culture. You look at the new set of people. You realize that they also have the same kind of dreams and ambitions in life. They also have the same struggles as you have. They also have a rich tradition and a rich culture as you have back home.
All this realisation opens up you as a person. It opens up new perspectives. It makes you understand and get in touch with your deeper self much more easily. It makes you understand that whatever you are learning has to benefit the mankind at large and not just yourself or your country. When you learn, you lear in the context of this larger picture and not just learning by rote or just from the books.

One of the most hated subjects is Maths. Somehow, a large number of people end up hating mathmatics. I guess it has a lot to do with how it is taught. I have always found maths very fascinating. May be it was because, I have had fantastic teachers during my elementary school during my formative years.
I still remember how my teacher got me interested into maths. She told me many interesting stuff which, at that age, I had not thought of and which I found really fascinating.
She told me one day : “Have you ever wondered? You will always get an even number when you add two odd numers”. I promptly added one plus three. I got four. Even number. I added 5 and 7. I got 12. Even number. And so on. Then she told me, “now, the reverse is not true. If you add two even numbers, then again, you will get only even numbers”. That was true. I tried disproving it but failed.
But I was hooked onto odd numbers and even numbers and adding one to the other. I was hooked onto mathematics.

With the proliferation of social media, there is a good opportunity for dispensing teaching material through it and doing a good job of teaching through the same. Imagine the ability of wikipedia or the wiki spaces where one can post one’s lessons. The students can study through and post their home work on the same platform. One can follow up the entire set thorugh Twitter. One can post their presentations on to slideshare. or scibd for that matter. One can also digg it up.
So many ways of distributing one’s materials and ways of keeping in touchch

Are you a Perfect Parent? I am not. I am far from a perfect father. In the midst of my business, in the midst of my consultancy assignments, in the midst of educating myself, the amount of quality time that I spend with my family and my kids is not enough and I know it.
I used to feel extremely guilty about it. I and my wife, both working parents, used to have lots and lots of questions for which seemingly there are no answers.
We used to wonder about things such as :
Am I allowing my children to take initiatives and learn at their own pace or am I pushing them too much? Am I being too protective when I bar them from going out in the night? When I teach my children their subjects, am I teaching them in a way it is easy for them to learn the essentials? Am I teaching them, helping them to learn about lie? Should I discipline them? Should it be mild? should it be harsh so that they remember? and so on and so forth.
Then we met parents such as myself and my wife and we formed a group. We met and discussed many things on parenting and found that all of us have very similar issues and questions. Right from how to teach children about things like sex to how to get them to help in the household chores, we discussed many things. We also discussed on how to teach them basics of business.
We found a site parenting which also helps us on parenting. It helps us to stay connected. It also has lots of stuff for which we were looking for answers. It also has discussion forums on many pertinent topics. It has also been helping us to become better parents.

For professionals like me who are pressed for time, improving oneself is not easy. Take myself for example. I work from 8 a.m. to 8.p.m. Most days. Except sundays. Where is the time to go to college? Where is the time to get a tutor for myself? Where is the time even to drive down to college? There is none.
That is where the online education or the distant education as it is called, comes handy. I can simply enroll into a distant education program. I can learn things online. I can get courses through mail. If I have doubts probably I can check them out through mail as well. Probably, universities will also start offering webcasts and podcasts in the future to make things easier.
One of my friends wanted to learn organizational psychology . He simply enrolled into one online program to study the same.
Not just organisational psychology. But even courses such as mental health counseling which look very advanced, are offered on the net.
How does one find the right online education course? It is again simplified thanks to the rankings that sites such as US news publish on an ongoing basis. You can get to know who are the leading providers of online education and enroll with them. Most of them also have also have a counselling program to help you out to identify which courses you want to take.
Learning online is the way to go!
