India wins in NZ after 33 years

The Indian Cricket team is scoring new records month after month in the last one year. The latest feather on the cap of the Indian team is the 33 year long victory against the Newzealand Cricket Team in a test match, in Newzealand.

The visiting Indian team won the five match one day series in an emphatic manner last week only. In the first five day test match played in Newzealand this week, the Indian team scored 510 runs in their first innings. The Newzealand team which was put to bat, could muster only 39 runs more , both innings put together. The Indian openers scored the winning 39 runs in style in just six overs and won the first match in a grand manner.
The last Indian victory in Newzealand soil was way back in 1977.
MS Dhoni, the Indian team captain, was all praise for all his team members who contributed in a equal manner at every stage of the match. In the first innings, the Indian batting Master Sachin Tendulkar alone scored a massive 160 runs, versus the 290 runs scored by the entire Newzealand team.
On the fourth day, it was the turn of Indian star Spinner Harbhajan Singh, to take 6 wickets for 63 runs, and wrap up the Newzealand second innings in no time. At the current pace, the Indian team might win the second match also comfortably, thereby sealing the test series victory also in style. All the best to you Dhoni and Team.
