India sweeps NZ one day series

The Indian Cricket team under the leadership of Mahendra Singh Dhoni is continuing its dream run outside India level also. The team smashed the host Newzealand team by a huge 3-1 lead in the one day international cricket match series held in Newzealand. Out of the total of five matches, one match was washed out due to heavy rain.

Out of the first four matches, India one the three matches in an emphatic manner and took a solid 3-0 lead and won the series at the end of fourth match itself. The fifth match was played for the sake of it, and as expected the Indian team was playing casually and , for a change, it was at the receiving end, with Newzealand bowlers doing a great job.

Dhoni’s team will now play the test series in the coming weeks, which is also expected to be favorable to India, since it has a very strong batting line up, and also a slew of strong bowlers. It has fast pace bowlers, slow and medium pace bowlers, and also great spin bowlers.

Few months back, it was Dhoni and team who fired the Australian team in their soil in a dramatic way. And last month, they smashed the Sri Lankan team in their country. Now, they are firing against the Newzealanders successfully in their home ground. It is the first time in over four decades that India is winning a series in Newzealand. Great show, Dhoni and team, keep it up.
