The western world is really worried at the revelation by Iran of a new Uranium enrichment facility, which it wants to also throw open for UN inspection. The unexpected move comes on the heels of Iran declaring that it wants to develop Uranium enrichment facilities for peaceful purposes.
That is the route every other country in the world has taken to finally make nuclear weapons. Iran is under immense pressure from US and Europe for dropping the nuclear designs, and they are able to get the support of Russia recently on the Iranian issue. The Iranians have so far failed to get the economic benefits of high crude oil prices only because of the sanctions, and there could be a change of heart in Iranian power centers in the coming months hopefully.
