Linda Fleming, aged 66 years, suffering from advanced cancer, became the first US citizen to take suicide , under state assistance. The Washington based lady was suffering from advanced cancer and was fighting for formal approval for suicide from the state.
The referendum saw over 60% of the people voting for approval and she was allowed to take the pills prescribed by her doctors to commit suicide. May god bless her soul and let it rest in peace.
