Intel, the microprocessor major, has launched its new range of microprocessor - Xeon processor 5500 series, which is meant for the server products claiming higher computing power using lesser amounts of energy. The new processor is said to 9x the existing processors and thus can help companies to improve their data processing capabilities substantially. It is primarily targeted at the academic and research bodies , and also for those businesses with strong dependence on internet infrastructure.
