What is entertainment? It is difficult to define it. Is television entertainment? Is opera entertainment? Is sports entertainment? Is news entertainment?

Yes. It is very difficult to define it. But, one thing is clear. We all want entertainment and that is what we want everything to be.

The TV channels have understood this. More so the news channels which, by definition, cannot provide entertainment that the other channels provide. So, they give us really entertaining news. They brazenly report whatever scoop they can uncover. They publicise even small scandals. They give us the gory gory details of war and everything else. Simply because, somewhere down the line, all of this becomes entertainment.

Entertainment is the name of the game!
